The task of the MEB Advisory Board is to advise the MEB independently and critically about the major policy themes and other aspects of our tasks. It advises by focusing strategically on the environment in which the MEB operates. The Advisory Board stimulates discussion, confronts, inspires and advises.
The Advisory Board is referred to in the MEB's administrative regulations. The position, tasks and working procedure of the Advisory Board are documented in the ‘MEB Advisory Board administrative regulations 2013’.
The Advisory Board consists of at least 5 members. The members are appointed by the MEB, following nomination by the Board's Chairperson and the Director of the secretariat. The members come from various sectors in society. They have specific expertise relating to the MEB's fields of expertise.
The Advisory Board meets at least twice a year.
