The Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB) would like to cordially invite you for the MEB Regulatory Science Day on 14 February 2019 from 12.00 – 18.00. The theme of the day is “Advanced therapies, regulation and clinical application”. To sign up for the meeting, you can click here.

Questions that will be discussed during the meeting include: What is necessary to make an ATMP a success, i.e. getting the product to the patient/marketing authorisation? Which (scientific) hurdles have been encountered, and what can we learn from the solutions?

The programme consists of a wide variety of different stakeholders. Apart from the Regulatory perspective presented by the Dutch representative of the Committee of Advanced Therapies (CAT), reflections on ATMP development are provided by representatives from academia, the Dutch Health Inspectorate (IGJ) and industry.

We are delighted to present Prof. Marc Turner as one of our Keynote speakers. He is Medical director of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) and Professor of Cellular Therapy, University of Edinburgh. He will present his research on translation of ATMPs to clinical practice, as well as the Catapult cell and gene therapy programme.

From the industry, Kite Pharma will tell more about the CAR T-cell therapy Yescarta and their experiences to bring it to the market. Last but not least, poster pitches are given by (PhD) students that are connected to the MEB, whom perform research in the field of ATMPs.

We hope to see you on the 14th of February!
