Assessment report 2’-fucosyllactose, applicant DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences ApS.
A report on the assessment of 2’-fucosyllactose by the company DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences ApS for substantial equivalence to 2’-fucosyllactose, which has already been authorised in the European Union.
The 2’-fucosyllactose can be used as an ingredient in certain types of food products.
Based on this positive assessment report, the applicant can inform the European Commission about the marketing of 2’-fucosyllactose, in accordance with article 5 of European regulation 258/97.
The Novel Foods Unit sent this assessment report to the Minister for Medical Care on 19 December 2017.
