Assessment report Refined echium oil, applicant De Wit Specialty Oils
A report on the assessment of the substantial equivalence of refined echium oil by the company De Wit Specialty Oils with refined echium oil already authorised for use in the European Union.
The refined echium oil can be sold as a separate product, or can be used as an ingredient in certain types of food products.
Based on this assessment report, the applicant can inform the European Commission about the marketing of refined echium oil in accordance with article 5 of European regulation 258/97.
The Novel Foods Unit sent this assessment report to the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport on 11 November 2010.
