List of patient-friendly terms for the package leaflet

In order to optimise the readability of the package leaflet, the MEB has revised the list of patient-friendly terms. The list has been expanded from approximately 350 to more than 500 terms. Various organisations and MEB experts have proposed additions to the list. Commissioned by the MEB, the Dutch Centre of Expertise on Health Disparities Pharos tested the terms among persons who have trouble reading and writing, in order to develop a comprehensible translation of a medical term.
