Launch of 3rd edition of Regulatory Science Magazine during farewell symposium for Christine Gispen-de Wied
On Wednesday 1 November 2017 a mini symposium was organised to mark the retirement of Dr Christine Gispen-de Wied, manager of the MEB Programme Office Science. Although Christine is retiring she is going to continue to be involved with the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB) for 1 day a week in order to complete a number of research projects.
Various speakers helped to paint a picture of her career at the MEB. Drs Hugo Hurts, MEB director, talked proudly during the event about Christine's career, first and foremost because the development and the importance of Regulatory Science has now been put firmly on the map.
Former MEB chairman Prof. Bert Leufkens referred, in a three-part speech, to her dedication as having made a huge contribution to the development of the MEB's Regulatory Science programme. Interviews with both of them are included in the 3rd edition of the Regulatory Science Magazine.
