2nd Edition of MEB Regulatory Science Magazine released
Today, the 2nd edition of the Regulatory Science Magazine was released. This online magazine, produced by the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB), contains higlights and interviews around regulatory science, videos and pitches of PhDs, and the latest information on scientific meetings. In this edition, MEB Executive Director Hugo Hurts talks about how regulatory science is an investment in the quality of the MEB's work.
Hugo Hurts: "The Medicines Evaluation Board has a clearly defined scientific programme, and we deliberately allocate funds for that programme. This is not a ‘luxury item’; it’s essential for the quality of the work we do. The value of our Regulatory Science Programme lies in its ability to make our organisation future-proof. We aim to deliver top quality, now and in the future."
Regulatory science provides the MEB with up-to-date data, knowledge and expertise based on current scientific insights, for optimal evaluation and marketing authorisation of medicinal products and novel foods. This ensures an even better assessment of risks, efficacy and quality. In the “Highlights” section you can read the latest information on Theses, PhDs, Students, Publications.
This edition also announces the Regulatory Science Network Netherlands (RSNN) workshop ‘Beyond the Current Clinical Endpoints’ on 6 July 2017. The workshop will be opened by Bert Leufkens in his capacity as RSNN chairman. In the invitation, you can find more information about the programme and how to register.
